Piercy had a promising start to his PGA Tour career, finishing in the top twenty five times in his first six starts, propelling him into the top 100 of the Official World Golf Rankings in March 2009. He finished the season in 90th place on the money list to keep his tour card, but dropped to 136th in 2010 and lost some of his tour status for 2011.
